New things (Part 1 and 2!)

Woohoo! We’ve waited a while to announce this, so we’re a bit giddy with excitement…you’ll have to bear with us a bit.

Since we started Plinkk, we haven’t really been happy with the way we present our images to our clients online. Our current solution is OK, but it relies on your computer screen being a certain size, and it involves a lot of clicking.

So, from today, we’ve got a new way of showing off our photos. We’ll be using some fancy-pants slideshow software. The software does some clever stuff behind the scenes to make sure that you are presented with the biggest image that will fit your screen, whatever your screen size. It also allows you to share your images with your friends and family.

There are a couple of other features, but we won’t bore you with the details…you really have to see it for yourself. We’ve yet to find another photographer in Hampshire who present your images so clearly online.

We decided that the most fitting way to show off our software is to show you some new photographs of our 2009 Sample Elite Wedding Album. Click the image below to enjoy.

Our Elite Albums are the finest quality handmade, hard backed book our suppliers make, available in square or landscape format with shaped wooden binding and heaviest weight 250gsm leaves. Each Elite album is protected by a dust jacket and comes in a black linen-texture presentation box. They are available up to 40 x 29 cm in size – resulting in a beautiful album filled with the day’s memories. We’re proud to be able to show off our 2009 sample album. If you’d like to see the album in person, please contact us, or leave a comment and we’ll get in touch with you.

We have one more awesome announcement due soon, so stay tuned!

Website Updates

Just to keep everyone in the loop, we’re planning on adding some shiny new toys to our site next week. This will probably mean that there will be some disruption to the website over the coming days.

If you want to get hold of us in the meantime, feel free to call, email or use Facebook/Twitter to get in touch.

Evelyn’s 70th Birthday

As promised, here are all the pics from Evelyn’s surprise 70th birthday party a few weeks ago.

A slideshow of images can be found by clicking here.

And…because a photoblog wouldn’t really be a photoblog without a photograph,  have a pic Helen took of me contorting myself to get a shot:

Evelyn’s 70th Birthday – Teaser

Since 2009 kicked in, we’ve neglected to put any photos up on to our blog. Today, we’re going to go the opposite way and cram the blog with pictures! Evelyn was invited to Chilworth Manor to attend a quiet lunch with her husband. Little did she know that her daughters had organised a surprise. They had invited her close friends and family from all over the country to share in the celebration. Here are a couple of snaps to get you in the mood:

We had the luxury of not only being at the party in a professional capacity, but we were also invited guests. This proved problematic when it came to having to be a part of, and to take, the group photographs. Luckily a kind man (who’s name we unfortunately didn’t manage to get) called Ant stepped in and did some snapping for us. In return, Helen gave his son Louis a quick 5 minute lesson on photography! Thanks once again to Ant for the help – drop us a line and we’ll hook you up with some Plinkk goodies to say thanks!

Included in the celebrations was a poem read, and written by Evelyn’s grandson Ben. By the time he had finished, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house!

We’ll put up a slide-show of all the final images in the next couple of weeks, in the mean-time. Enjoy a picture of the woman of the hour:

Anthony Gardiner - 9 February, 2009 - 11:52 am

It was me that took the photos on Saturday and it was a pleasure. I hope the birthday celebrations went off without a hitch and thank you for posting the pictures of my son Louis in this blog.

Lydia – Teaser

They say you should never work with children or animals, well we disagree! We had a lovely time with Lydia yesterday, she’s very photogenic as you can see. Look out Vogue…! She did however ply us with desserts so maybe we’re slightly biased… here’s a sneak peek at her shoot:

More photos of Lydia (and her friends) to come soon.
